Wash the plums, remove the pits, and cut into 2–4 pieces. Place them in a microwave-safe bowl.

Heat in the microwave three times for 5–7 minutes at full power, stirring after each round.

Add sugar, stir, and continue heating for another 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Once the sugar is dissolved, taste to see if it’s sweet enough.

Cook to desired thickness. Then cool and transfer to a clean container.
