Step 1
Wash the cod, remove the fillets from the bone, cut each fillet into three pieces and soak them in a bowl with milk for 2 hours to remove the specific smell. Pat dry with paper towels.

Pour vegetable oil into a heated pan and fry the garlic with almonds until slightly golden.
Step 3
Add the onion cut into half rings. Sauté.
Step 4
Add the chopped tomatoes to the pan.
Step 5
Simmer all the vegetables for a few minutes until the tomatoes are soft.
Blend everything. You should get a coarse purée.
Step 6
Take the same pan where the vegetables were stewed without washing it. Place sliced tomatoes on the bottom, then the cod fillets.
Step 7
Top with the almond-vegetable purée.
Step 8
Simmer under the lid for 15–20 minutes. Enjoy your meal!
