Zaporizhzhian cabbage soup is a traditional Ukrainian soup that is especially popular in Zaporizhzhia. The main ingredients: fresh cabbage, lard, millet, potatoes, carrots, onions and spices. The soup has a thick consistency and rich flavor. Historically, this was one of the main dishes of the Zaporizhzhian Cossacks due to its satiety and ease of preparation. Served hot with sour cream and fresh rye bread.
