Mix milk, flour, vegetable oil, salt, sugar, and dry yeast. Knead the dough. Cover with a towel and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles. Divide into 16 parts (~50 g each). Cover again and let rise for 30 minutes or longer.

Place softened butter, garlic, and herbs into a blender and blend. Alternatively, grate garlic and mix all by hand.

Make a cut in the center of each bun using a knife or kitchen scissors. Fill with about ½ tsp of filling (or use a piping bag). Brush buns with beaten yolk.

Bake for 15 minutes at 180°C. Buns can be served with broth, borscht, or tea.
