Step 1
Add onion to the mince, I ground the onion together with the mince, but you can just chop it finely. Squeeze garlic, add lemon zest. Mix everything well with a spoon.

Next add rice, salt and pepper, mix well with a spoon.

Add lightly beaten egg, mix.

Add parsley. But you can add any of your favorite herbs, I sometimes add cilantro or a mix of cilantro and parsley.

Form meatballs and place in a steamer where water is already boiling. Cover with lid and cook for about 10 minutes.

Transfer finished meatballs to a container.

All done! Tender, soft, hearty, aromatic meatballs are ready. Can be served with any favorite sauce (I like sweet and sour) and delicate mashed potatoes or pumpkin puree.
